The implant is carried out in a single session that takes very little time, as everything is planned using 3D Scanning
Immediate implants and implants using surgical guides are possible in appropriate cases.

What are dental implants?

Interview with Dr. Ahmed AlKaffas
What are dental implants?

Dental implants are the best and most advanced solution to compensate for lost teeth, as it allows dentists to compensate for jawbone and tissue loss as well. This allows restoring a shape and function that is similar to natural teeth.

How are dental implants performed?

Dental implants are a two-stage process:

  1. In the first stage, the titanium implants or screws are placed in the jawbones or inside the mouth. In this stage, additional procedures such as lifting the nasal sinus or supporting the jawbones might be needed for some cases.
  2. In the second stage, the external part of the teeth is installed over the implants to restore the shape and function of natural teeth. This takes place at least three months after installing the implants to ensure that the jawbones have completely healed.

What is the appropriate age for dental implants?

The appropriate age for dental implants is 18 years or older, with no maximum age limit. This procedure cannot be carried out for someone younger than 18 years as the jawbones will not be fully developed yet.

Dental bridges or dental implants to compensate for teeth loss?

Dental implants are the best solution to compensate for teeth loss. As dental implants replace the roots of the teeth with titanium implants, the missing jawbones and the tissues surrounding the missing teeth are replaced with external fixtures.

On the contrary, dental fittings or bridges only replace the outer portion without the roots, jawbones, or surrounding tissues.

Are dental implants done with local or general anesthesia?

Dental implants are usually performed with local anesthesia on the dental chair. General anesthesia is also available for cases that need it.

How long does the teeth implant procedure take?

Dental implants are a two-step procedure:

  1. The first step is adding the implants, which takes 10-15 minutes.
  2. The second step is adding the final crown over the implants.
There is a waiting period of at least 3 months between the first and second steps for the jawbones to completely heal.

Will I wait months between the first and final fittings without teeth?

After adding the implants, we add a temporary crown until the bones are completely healed, after which we will add the final crown.

How much do dental implants cost?

Dental implants cost between 8,000-14,000 EGP per implant based on the different types of implants that can be used. There are always offers and discounts available. You can find out more by contacting us on the phone or via Whatsapp by clicking on the Whatsapp icon.

What are the types of implants used and how much do they cost?

There are three types of implants that we use:
  1. Korean implants: Cost 8,000 EGP per implant
  2. German implants: Cost 11,000 per implant
  3. Swiss implants: Cost 14,000 per implant

What is the difference between different types of implants?

The differences between implants are mainly technical with little importance to the patients, in addition to places where they are manufactured. As long as we choose well-known implants that are recognized by international dentistry organizations, any choice will lead to a successful implant in terms of shape and function. All types of implants are guaranteed for life.

Is there a warranty for teeth implants?

Yes. All types of implants are guaranteed for life.

What does a lifetime guarantee mean?

Lifetime guarantee for dental implants means that if any of the implants fail at any time (which happens for only 3% of cases), Capital Dental Clinic will redo the implants at no additional cost.

Can I do dental implants for a full jaw?

Yes. We can compensate for any number of missing teeth, whether they are connected or separated, and even with full teeth loss in the upper or lower jaw, or both.

How much do dental implants for a full jaw cost?

To determine the cost of full jaw implants, we first need to know the number of implants needed to compensate for the full jaw, and we can’t do this without 3D scanning . This allows us to know the density of the jawbones, as well as the general condition of the teeth and the roots to determine the number of implants and whether the jawbones require support or not.

Until all these factors are determined, all we can know before the examination and 3D scanning  is the cost per implant and the average number of implants required to compensate for a full jaw.

How many implants are needed for a full jaw?

The upper jaw requires 6-8 implants and 12 dental fittings. The lower jaw requires 4-6 implants and 12 dental fittings.

Ultimately, every case has its unique characteristics and as a result, might require a different number of implants. That is something we can determine after the examination and the 3D scanning.

How much do Crowns Over Implants cost?

Crowns Over Implants cost 4,000 EGP.

There are always offers and discounts available. You can find out more by contacting us on the phone or via Whatsapp by clicking on the Whatsapp icon.

What are the types of dental Crowns used over implants?

  1. Zircon crowns
  2. E-Max crowns
  3. Zircomax crowns

There are always offers and discounts available. You can find out more by contacting us on the phone or via Whatsapp by clicking on the Whatsapp icon.

What is the difference between different types of crowns used?

Different types of crowns differ in terms of strength, transparency, and overall aesthetics, and the right type of fittings differ based on each case. For example, if we want to compensate for molars, we could use strong Zircon. If we want to compensate for front teeth, we could use E-Max, or Zircon with an E-Max layer, based on what the treating dentist sees fit.

What if there is a loss in jawbones (jaw atrophy)?

No problem. We can tell the condition and density of jawbones using 3D scanning . In the case of jaw atrophy, we can compensate for the jawbones with bone grafting in addition to the teeth implants.

Can I have dental implants if I am diabetic?

Yes, we can implant teeth even in the presence of diabetes. All we need is a cumulative blood sugar test with a result of 7 or less. If the result is higher than 7, we can follow up with a diabetes specialist to adjust the diet and medication until the result reaches 7 or less. We can then proceed to the implant process without problems.
