One tooth, or a few

An implant replaces the root, so the teeth beside the gap are left as they are.

A titanium implant is placed in the bone and left to heal and join it, then a crown is fitted on top. After the check-up and scan, it takes two visits, usually two to three months apart: one for the implant, one for the crown. If you live abroad, plan two trips. The price has three lines: the implant, which depends on the system you choose; the abutment, the small connector between the implant and the crown; and the crown. The scan shows which systems suit your bone, and you choose among them to suit your budget.

  1. Check-up and scanThe doctor examines you and, when needed, takes a CT scan of the bone.
  2. The implantThe implant is placed in the bone, usually under local anaesthetic.
  3. The toothUsually two to three months later, the abutment and the crown are fitted.

A full jaw

A full jaw of fixed teeth on four to six implants.

When most or all of the teeth in a jaw are gone, a full set of fixed teeth is carried on four to six implants. The price includes the final teeth in German zirconia. The treatment is done in stages, so if you live abroad, expect more than one trip; we plan the visits with you from the start.

Bone grafting and sinus lift

When the bone has thinned after years without a tooth.

Bone shrinks where a tooth has been missing for a long time. Bone grafting rebuilds it, and a sinus lift makes room for an implant in the upper back jaw. Whether you need either, and what it costs, is decided on the CT scan, because a price before the scan would be a guess.

Removable dentures

A full or partial set you take out, for when implants do not suit you yet.

A removable denture replaces missing teeth without surgery. For some patients it is the right start, and some move to fixed teeth on implants later. The doctor explains both options at the check-up.

Questions people ask

Does the guarantee cover the crown?

No. The lifetime guarantee is on the implant itself, not on the crown. The doctor explains anything further at the check-up.

Can I have an implant if I have diabetes?

Usually yes, when your HbA1c (the test of your average blood sugar over three months) is 7% or lower. The doctor asks for a recent test before deciding.

Will I have a gap while it heals?

It depends on where the tooth is and how many are missing. At the check-up, the doctor plans with you what covers the gap while the implant heals.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Through valU, Souhoola or Sympl at reception, or in instalments on your credit card.
