All treatments

Everyday care for your teeth, and for any dental work you already have.

A check-up, a cleaning, a filling caught early, healthy gums. Small visits that save the big ones.

The check-up is 800 EGP.

The check-up

Where your treatment starts.

The doctor examines your teeth, gums and bite, and you leave with a treatment plan and a full breakdown of its cost. The doctor asks for a CT scan or a panoramic X-ray when it helps the diagnosis.

Panoramic X-ray700 EGP

Cleaning and scaling

Tartar removed and teeth polished, ideally every six months.

Tartar cannot be brushed off. A regular cleaning removes it before it irritates the gums, and a deep cleaning reaches below the gum line when they are already inflamed.

Fillings

Decay caught before it reaches the nerve.

A cavity caught early can be treated with a tooth-coloured filling. Left alone, it can reach the nerve and need a root canal. Sensitivity is a sign, not a diagnosis: cold that lingers, a sharp twinge with sweets, or an ache when you bite can mean a filling or a root canal, and the check-up shows which one it is.

Gum treatment

Bleeding, swelling or gums pulling back from the teeth.

Crowns, veneers and implants all depend on healthy gums. Bleeding is the first sign; left alone, it can lead to receding gums, loose teeth and bad breath that does not go away. Treatment depends on how far the problem has gone: a deep cleaning, laser disinfection of the gums, or a gum graft where the gum has receded.

Extractions and wisdom teeth

Including the wisdom tooth you have been putting off.

We take a tooth out when it cannot be saved or when it is causing a problem. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out. It usually should when it keeps swelling, causes decay in the tooth in front of it, or presses on that tooth and hurts. The X-ray decides, and the doctor shows it to you. Wisdom teeth and teeth buried in the bone often need a surgical extraction, under local anaesthetic.

Children's teeth

First visits, and the ones that follow.

A child's first visits can shape how they feel about the dentist for years. Bring them before anything hurts: a first visit is mostly the doctor getting to know your child and taking a quick look at their teeth, and a child who has already sat in the chair with nothing done is calmer when treatment is needed. We keep visits short and comfortable, and we treat baby teeth fully, because they hold the place for the adult teeth that follow. Our children's dentist, Dr. Ahmed Hassan El Gendy, sees children on Sundays at Nasr City and on Thursdays at New Cairo.

Questions people ask

How often should I have a check-up?

Every six months, with a cleaning, is what most people need. The doctor may suggest more frequent visits if your gums need it.

Is the check-up fee deducted from the cost of my treatment?

No. The check-up is paid for separately, and it covers the examination, your treatment plan and a full breakdown of its cost.

Can I be sedated if I am afraid?

Yes. Sedation or general anaesthesia is available for adults and children when a case needs it, and the doctor decides with you at the check-up.
